To Everything After

In November of 2024, writer and first-time filmmaker Joshua Mallett was asked by a friend what movie he would make if he had a $6 million dollar budget and complete creative freedom. It was meant to be a thought experiment — a dream he shared casually on social media by someone who had never made a feature film before.

In early 2025, that idea began to take shape, evolving into a beat map and then a possibility. In April, it became a script. The first draft was written in just twelve days. What followed were immediate pre-production meetings with close friends, casting, and a leap of faith that led to principal photography commencing in late July 2025. Against every practical expectation — and with a budget less than 0.5% of that original $6M dream budget — supported entirely by close friends, family, and community, production wrapped on November 15, just 48 hours shy of the one-year anniversary of that original social Media post sharing his dream with the world.

For those involved, To Everything After didn’t come together through experience or industry connections or momentum, but through provision, timing, and people showing up exactly when they were needed. What unfolded felt less like a traditional production and more like a remarkable act of God.

To Everything After isn’t a product or brand, it’s a story — one rooted in nostalgia, loss, faith, and the heartfelt moments that shape who we become long after childhood ends.

To Everything After is currently in post-production and open to executive producer and distribution opportunities as final licensing, prestige placements, and post-production elements are completed.
